Susan Kormis Associates specializes in the start-up and small to mid-size markets. We partner with organizations to develop best practices for hiring, training and employment compliance. Our industry experience includes software technology, biotechnology/ life sciences, manufacturing, professional services, non-profits, restaurants and retail. We also have multi-state and international experience.
I noticed that there were so many small companies who could benefit from HR expertise, but because a full-time HR professional wasn’t needed, or was not affordable, HR was often pushed to the bottom of the priority list. This left companies exposed to numerous HR and employment issues. I had an idea to offer companies the HR expertise they need with a cost-effective solution. Here is a little about me:
I was educated at Drexel University and American University, and received certification as a Professional Trainer from Friesen, Kaye and Associates. I am also certified by the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination as a trainer in Preventing Harassment in the Workplace. I am actively involved with various professional organizations, including the MIT Enterprise Forum, The Society For Human Resource Management and the New England Human Resources Association. I have been published in Mass High Tech and have been quoted in several e-zine publications, including Inc.com and Microsoft Business.com. I was also a featured speaker at the Burlington Business Roundtable and the Business Plan Bootcamp for entrepreneurs, held at Boston University’s School of Management.
